In het kader van 75 jaar bevrijding initieerde het vfonds deze groots opgezette film over een enigszins vergeten hoofdstuk uit WOII. Het scenario van Paula van der Oest (The Domino Effect) volgt drie jonge personages: een Zeeuws verzetsmeisje, een Nederlandse nazi en een Britse piloot. Door de constante perspectiefwisselingen duurt het even voor de film op gang komt, maar de toon is aangenaam genuanceerd en onsentimenteel. Regisseur Van Heijningen (van Hollywoodgriezelfilm The Thing) voert de spanning vaardig op en focust meer op persoonlijk drama dan groot spektakel, wat vooral goed uitpakt in de bloedstollende, Saving Private Ryan-achtige finale.
