How to start investigating the murders in BG3? ›

To start this quest, enter the Open Hand Temple, on the west side of Rivington in the Wyrm's Crossing region. When you're in the entrance hall, speak to Sister Yannis to discover that a pair of murders occurred there recently.

Players can roll a History or Investigation check to learn more about the symbol on the door, but the only way to make it open is to know the password, "Sicarius." The only way to get this password is to kill two people for Olfaith or to read the Dirge of the Unholy Assassin on Dolor's body.
